Task 8 – Monitor and evaluate

Contents in this section:

A monitoring and evaluation framework should be developed for impact mitigation and benefit enhancement. It is best practice to develop the framework as part of the IPP, in collaboration with the indigenous community.

Participatory monitoring

Participatory monitoring is mandatory where indigenous peoples may be impacted. Issues for participatory monitoring, indicators, and approaches to gather, analyse and report the monitoring data should be agreed as part of the IPP.
